Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce recipe
Ingredients needed for Chicken Satay and Peanut sauce
For marinating chicken :
- Chicken boneless 1 Pound,cut into strips
- Coriander powder 1tbsp
- Cumin powder 1tbsp(optional)
- Coconut milk 1/2 cup / 1 Cup yogurt (coconut milk will give nice result )
- Garlic paste 1tbsp
- Thai curry paste 3tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
- Lemon juice 3tbsp
- Lemon zest of 1 lemon
- Wooden skewers soaked in water 20-30 mins
- Oil 3tbsp
- Salt to taste
For Peanut Sauce:
- Coconut milk 1/2 cup
- Brown sugar 1tbsp
- Thai curry paste 1tbsp
- Tamarind paste 11/2 tbsp
- Paprika powder 1tbsp
- Peanut butter 2 tbsp
Recipe for Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce :
- Marinate the chicken pieces cut into strips with the ingredients mentioned above and keep inside the refrigerator for atleast 2 hours.
- For making Peanut sauce ,in a pan add coconut milk,brown sugar ,peanut butter,tamarind paste,paprika powder and thai curry paste ,mix everything and on low flame cook till it gets little thick.
- After 2 hours take the marinated chicken out from the refrigerator and put them on the wooden skewers.
- Heat the grill pan ,once it get hot add 1 tbsp oil and place the skewers on the pan .
- Cook on medium flame both the sides for 4-5 mins each.
- Serve hot Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce.
