How to make Mughlai Paratha
I am sure you all have heard of Mughlai Paratha ,in India Mughlai Paratha is made in different style some add eggs or meat in the stuffing and many variations .Here I am with my own version of Mughlai Paratha which is totally unique and tasty. The ingredients are just some and the royal taste comes with cream added in the stuffing. The shape of the paratha might be tricky one but with practice you will get perfect shape. So lets start with my Mughlai Paratha,

Ingredients used for making 2 Mughlai Paratha:
  • 2-3 onions
  • 1 big green capsicum
  • 1 small tomato
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh cream
  • Oil/butter for making paratha
For the dough for Paratha:

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup all purpose flour(can used only wheat flour or only all purpose flour, best taste comes from white purpose flour )
  • salt
  • oil
Recipe for making Mughlai Paratha  :
  • Chop all the vegetables green capsicum, onions and tomato.

  • In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and fry all the chopped vegetable for just 2-3 mins.(you don't have to cook the vegetables just cook for 3 mins ,the crunchiness should be there)

  • Now add salt and red chilli powder in the mixture and give a stir.
  • Now add fresh cream in the stuffing and mix everything together.(if cream is not available then you can add 4-5 tbsp milk but then you have to cook till all the milk get absorbed)

  • Now stuffing is ready for Mughlai Paratha,Now knead the dough and keep it aside for half an hour.
Kneaded Dough for Chapati

  • Take a lemon sized dough for Paratha and roll it in circle on rolling board and then place it on the frying tawa/plate,once it cooked from one side then turned the side.(just cook until brown patches start forming, this is done so that paratha or bread doesn't left uncooked )

  • Once Paratha is cooked place it on a rolling board and spread the filling on it.

  • Now fold the Paratha from the top like shown in the pictures.(you have to fold from top first and then join the lower part with the folded one )

  • Once you fold the paratha, gently press paratha with your finger and carefully put on the frying tawa /plate and pour some butter or oil on both the sides while heating.
  • Your Mughlai Paratha is ready ,serve hot with tomato ketchup, curd or any other sauce of your choice.
