Homemade Apple Jam
Apple Jam is very delicious in taste and goes well with bread as well as you can use it in more creative way by topping it on your deserts ,tarts. This recipe of Apple Jam is very simple yet very delicious.All you need is Apple and lots of Apple and some extra ingredients which are given below.
Ingredients required :
Apples - 1 kg
Sugar - 1 kg
Lemon juice - 1/4 cup or as per taste
Cinnamon powder -1/4 tbsp (optional)
Method :
Put the apples in a steel or glass container, cover with water and keep overnight.
Transfer to a heavy-based sauce pan, bring to a boil and cook till soft.
Strain through a strainer or either blend and then strain.
Put back onto the stove and bring to a boil again and cook, stirring to avoid scorching.
When slightly thinner than jam consistency, add the sugar, lemon juice and dalchini.
Lower the heat and keep stirring till sugar is dissolved (not letting it coming to a boil before that).
When sugar is dissolved, bring to a boil and cook, keep stirring all the time (else it will caramelize at the bottom and change flavor).
Cool down your Apple Jam and for best taste ,use it on next day.
Your Apple Jam is ready and you can use it for six months.
