Paneer is also known as cottage cheese or Indian cheese which is prepared by curdling milk with lemon juice or curd / yogurt or you can use other food acid also like vinegar. This paneer provides proteins to our body.In my family nobody is there who doesn't like paneer so in a week I cooked twice but change the recipes sometimes kadhai paneer and even paneer ka paratha tastes good .This homemade paneer is very easy to make and in 30-40 mins your paneer will be ready.

Ingredients:
1 litre milk ( preferably full cream milk )
2 tbsp of lime juice or 1/4 cup of curd

muslin cloth and some heavy weight is also needed

How to make homemade paneer :
  1. Heat the milk and bring it to a boil .

       2. When the milk is about to rise add the food acid at this moment. you can use lemon                     juice, curd or vinegar.

      3. After adding your milk will start to curdle and if you think your milk is not curdling add more of the food acid lime juice, curd, vinegar.

   4. As soon as milk starts curdling take a muslin cloth or any cotton cloth to drain the curdled milk.
Keep some heavy weight on the cloth so that all the water should drained out.You can use the            whey ( leftover curdled milk) to make chapatis or rice or any veggies.

  5. After 30 - 40 mins open your muslin cloth you will see your paneer has been set..

 6. Chop your panner into your desired shape.

Your homemade paneer is ready and now you can enjoy these paneer cubes by making different Indian curries or dishes like malai paneer, palak paneer ,kadhai paneer ,paneer paratha and much more.
