The Watermelon Smoothie is the perfect thirst quencher for the summers.Not only in taste but this fruit has many benefits which can make us healthy person.The long list of healthy or beneficial effects of watermelons are mainly derived from its unique nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and organic compounds. These include significant amounts of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, fiber, protein, and a very large amount of potassium. Furthermore, they contain vitamin A, vitamin B6, niacin, thiamin, and a wide variety of carotenoids and phytonutrients, including lycopene!
In Summers nothing is better than a chilled glass of drink in your hand and when it is Watermelon Smoothie than it not only satisfy your carvation but also add nutrients in your body.
Tip before making Watermelon Smoothie :
Because of the high water content of watermelons, you should use less water in your smoothie than you would with other recipes so that you get a thick, creamy texture.
Here my Watermelon Smoothie also has Cucumber in it and this will make the Smoothie more cooler.
Ingredients
One 2-inch piece Cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped (1/2 cup approx)
3 tablespoons lowfat buttermilk
1 tablespoon honey, optional
1/2 small lime, juiced (about 1 tablespoon)
2 cups cubed seedless watermelon, frozen

Wash watermelon, cut its green part and throw away and cut the red portion into small pieces. That will be easy to grind them in the mixer.If using honey add at this moment and blend it again,after grinding, the pulp and juice of watermelon will mix properly. Sieve this juice in the strainer. Squeeze a lemon in the juice to get more better taste.Now add the lowfat buttermilk,Put ice cubes in it. Keep it in the glasses and decorate with the mint leaves. You can mix sugar according to your taste.
