Ingredients for making Mutton Keema :

  1. Minced meat -1/2 kg 
  2. Onion - 2 finely chopped
  3. Green chillies - 2
  4. Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  5. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  6. Red chilli powder -1/2 tbsp
  7. Black pepper powder  -1/2 tbsp ( optional )
  8. Coriander leaves - 1 1/2 tbsp
  9. Lemon juice - 1/2 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil - 2 tbsp
  12. water - 1/2 cup


Recipe for Mutton keema :
  1. Heat oil in a pan add onions ( keep 1 tbsp onion for later use ), ginger garlic paste and fry till golden brown.
  2. Once onions turn golden brown add your minced meat and fry till it changes color and the oil will come on the surface on high flame.
  3. Add your spices coriander powder,red chilly powder and salt.
  4. After 1 minute add water in the minced meat and put the lid on the pan and let it cook on low flame.
  5. Once all the water dried up add lemon juice ,leftover onions,geen chillies and coriander leaves.
  6. Give a little stir and turned off the flame.
  7. Your Mutton keema is ready,enjoy it with Bread ,naan.
TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS -
  • Recipe will be same in case of chicken keema ,beef keema just the time of cooking will vary.
  • Don't add salt with the mutton as it will not enhance the juice from the meat completely.
  • You can store keema in the refrigerator for later use.
  • Water should be dried completely.
  • Onions added in the last does not need to cook completely for two reasons ,first we need the crunchiness of the onion and secondly if we cook it further the onions will leave its water which will not tate good.
  • Keema can also be used as filling for samosa,breads.
