Ingredients needed for healthy Oats Porridge

  • Oats – ½ cup
  • Onion –2 no.(finely chopped)
  • Carrot – 1 no. (finely chopped)
  • Peas - 1/4 cup
  • Black Pepper Powder – ¼ tbsp
  • Salt – as needed
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Butter/ghee – 1 tbsp
Recipe for making Healthy Oats Porridge:

  • Wash carrot , peel the skin and chop into small pieces.
  • Cook separately by adding enough water.
  • Once done, drain the water completely and keep aside
  • Heat a wok, add a tsp of butter and add chopped onions. Saute well till the onion turns transparent.
  • Add Oats to it and roast for 1 min.
  • Add Enough water to it and add cooked carrots,peas and salt.
  • Cover the lid and cook on medium flame for 5 mins.
  • Add pepper powder once porridge is cooked and finely garnish with chopped coriander leaves.Turn off the stove and serve hot with pickle.
