How to make homemade Vanilla extract / Essence

Vanilla Extract / Essence

 Ingredients :

• Vegetable based glycerine - 2 cups
• Boiling water - 1 cup
• Vanilla pods 8
• Sterilised bottle

  

Method :

• In a bottle add glycerine, hot water and shake it well.
• Cut the vanilla pod, scrape the seeds and add into the bottle, also add the pods.
• Once everything is added in the bottle,shake the bottle upside down.
• It will take atleast 6 -7 weeks to get your vanilla extract in the meanwhile every second day till 7 weeks shake the bottle. 
• Store in a cool place away from dark sunlight.
• After 6-7 weeks your homemade Vanilla essence / extract is ready to use.

Why to waste money on buying costly vanilla essence when you can make it on your own,homemade vanilla essence/extract.
